Spokane Weekend Wine Events Nov 5-7

Wholly wine events! It seems like this event lists gets longer and longer every week. My favorite Friday of the month is here, FIRST FRIDAY. This month features a brand new First Friday Spokane Valley Art Tour. There is plenty to wine about in this city. Looking for more? Next weekend are two signature events for Spokane wine and food lovers. Look below for information on Epicurean Delight and Cork & Keg. Don’t forget that Spokane Wine Magazine hits the streets on Wednesday, November 10!

Tri Cities Wine Festival (5/6)- The Tri-Cities Wine Society is pleased to announce that the 32nd Annual Tri-Cities Wine Festival will return to the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.

Take a tour of the local wineries. Most are open. Visit this link for hours, reviews, wine recommendations, videos and more.

Arbor Crest Annual Case Sale (through November 14)

Friday, November 5

First FridayEnjoy an evening of drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, photography and other visual art. Take in diverse live performances, including music, dance and theatre and don’t forget the exceptional shopping and dining Downtown has to offer.

  • Arbor Crest – Melissa Cole’s “nature related, intricately patterned, heavily textured, acrylic paintings on wood and canvas.” Meet Melissa, 6pm, musician: Maxie Ray Mills 6-9:30pm
  • Whitestone Winery – 6-9, music by Hot Club of Spokane, appetizers, wine tasting & new art!

  • Grande Ronde – 906 W. 2nd (across from the Steam Plant) Exhibiting new work by Paul Presnail
  • Robert Karl – 115 W. Pacific Local artist, Teri Beal’s work.
  • Caterina / Lone Canary – Displaying the work of Doyle Wheeler of Ammo-Head design, live music by Kari Marguerite, & Saunders Cheese will provide cheese plates to go with glass pour wine specials.
  • Barili Cellars – 4-9pm, new wine releases, featuring live music by Fawnell Myfanwy & the art of Debbie McCulley, who paints with pastels, watercolor, oils & acrylic.
  • Vintage Hill Cellars – Suwanee Lennon is a wedding, portraits and travel photographer in Spokane, but travels the globe for her imagery. Her passion is capturing images that tell stories of human lives. Tasting Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot Rosé, and “The Vintage.”

First Friday Spokane Valley Art Tour – Valley wineries and art galleries team up for the first ever art tour in the Spokane Valley. The event is called First Friday Spokane Valley Art Tour, to begin November 5, 2010, 5:30-8:30pm

Latah Creek Wine ReleaseJoin them Friday November 5, for the release of MONARCH PETITE SIRAH, with a brand new label! It is also First Friday Valley Art Tour. Stop by to enjoy gourmet food and wine tasting. 5pm-8:30pm

Whitestone Bratwurst – Burgers – and Wine

Whitestone fires up the grills and invites you into the production facility to try the wine as it is fermenting! This is the event if you have ever wanted to experience being a winemaker for a day. All of the current releases will be available to try and buy. This will also be the final day to buy Scared to Pieces! This event is $5 at the door (free for wine club members and guest). 115 N.E. Taste the Spirit – Spokane wineries support the West Valley Education Association. Enjoy wine and a live auction at Center Place event facility from 6:30-9:00pm; 2426 N. Discovery Place

Bottles Wine Tasting:  Featuring the wines of Latah Creek Winery from 2-5pm 3319 N Argonne

Get out to a winery! – Always a handful of Spokane wineries open. Enjoy! Trezzi, Townshend, Lone Canary, Mountain Dome, Latah Creek, Arbor Crest, Knipprath and Caterina are open.

  • Spokane Wine Magazine Hits the Streets (November 10) – Distribution begins of the first issue of Spokane Wine Magazine. We hope to have copies in all the wineries by the weekend of 11/12.
  • Epicurean Delight (November 12) – One of the signature events of the year. More than 1000 people enjoyed last year’s event to benefit the Inland Northwest Blood Center. Enjoy fine dining, wine and microbrews at the Spokane Convention Center

  • Liberty Lake Wine Cellars – (November 14) Visit Sunday, November 14th from 1-5pm as they release their third generation of red blends: Gary’s Legacy Red. This Cabernet Franc-based blend is released in honor of Shelly’s father, Gary, whom they lost this year. Gary was integral to the winery operations, and so on his birthday, they will release this wine in his memory.
  • Spokane Winery Association Annual Holiday Wine Festival (November 19-21) – Spokane wineries open their doors for fantastic holiday celebration with seasonal decorations, specials, and many new releases
